PRESIDENT’S CORNER
South African Master Sports Association’s moto is to bring together master’s sportsmen
and women in all communities to practice their sport to promote the philosophy of “Sport
for Life”
As the lockdown has lifted, we are starting to see a second wave hitting major cities, this
leaves me thinking that it seems that sports will not be totally back to full operation next
year. I am sure everyone agrees that the sport events will still be placed on hold till further
notice of how the second wave of the covid epidemic has affect everyone worldwide.
Condolences
It is with great sadness and on behalf of SAMSA we would just like to send our
condolences to all the Tent Pegging members and to William Guest’s family. He will be
missed by all.
It is also with great sadness that I have to inform you of the passing of Gerhard Bloemhof
.( Shooting)
On behalf of SAMSA we convey our sincere condolence to Madeleine and children and
may God bless the Bloemhof family and give them strength and courage in their
bereavement.
Masters Wrestling
Below please see the international tournaments that we will attend in 2021 keeping in mind
the travel restrictions to certain countries.
We are in full training since the middle of October and the team will be ready for
competition in January
Shooting results for the KZNPA Champs ( ISSF 2020 & NPA & PDC 2020)
Congratulation to all involved.
Let’s continue doing the following:
- Wash hands regularly
- Wear masks
- Keep social distance
Hopefully one can stop wearing masks soon.
